2019 World Music and Dance Festival at CalArts 

May 3-5, 2019

Over the course of one weekend, the 2019 Annual World Music and Dance Festival brings musical traditions from around the world to Southern California, 20 concerts of music and dance from cultures around the world on two open-air stages!

With two stages, Wild Beast Concert Pavilion and The Remo and Ami Belli Stage, doubling the number of performances from years past. The World Music and Dance Festival weekend features food trucks, instrument, clothing, and artifact vendors. Additionally, the festival will also include instrument raffles and giveaways! 

The family-friendly event is free and open to the public, but RSVPs for each day are requested.

CalArts Concert Tips

  • Admission and parking are free at the World Music and Dance Festival.
  • The festival is a family-friendly event with content safe and appropriate for all ages. 
  • Bench-seating is limited at the Wild Beast and available on a first-come, first- served basis. CalArts encourages you to bring your own low lawn chairs and blankets.
  • Picnics welcome: The lawn outside of The Wild Beast Music Pavilion is a perfect place for a picnic. Please leave the alcohol at home, however; open containers are not allowed on the CalArts campus.
  • The CalArts campus is located in Valencia, Calif., approximately 30 miles north of Downtown Los Angeles.
