Semester Exchanges

MFA and BFA students may be eligible for these semester exchange programs. For semester exchanges, BFA students must have completed all 200-level music theory and skills requirements before participating in an exchange. MFA students usually have spent at least one semester at CalArts and have completed Grad Theory Review and Grad Skills Review (if required).

Falmouth University Academy of Music and Theater Arts (Falmouth, UK)
Open to BFA3 Music students


The Janáček Academy (Brno, Czech Republic)
Open to all Music students except BFA1


Kunitachi College of Music (Tokyo, Japan)
Open to all Music students except BFA1


Rhythmic Music Conservatory (Copenhagen, Denmark)
Open to all Music students except BFA1



Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Glasgow, Scotland)
Open to BFA3 music students


Universität der Künste (Berlin, Germany)
Open to all music students except BFA1. Proficiency in German is required.
