Manu Toigo is a well-known survivalist, teacher, and celebrity personality known from her TV appearances on Discovery Channel’s Naked and Afraid; - Double Jeopardy. She was also Host of ‘Ammo and Attitude’ Season 3.
Manu was raised on a sugar cane farm outside of Ingham, Australia where she at a very young age already had the mindset of a survivalist knowing how to live off the land and be aware of surrounding dangers from deadly wildlife to environmental situations. At age 17, Manu first joined the 31 RQR (Infantry Reserve Unit) Army and then served for 8 years in the Australian Regular Army. During her last several years in the military, she was posted to Operation Deployment Forces as Transport Support. Her career in the Australian Army ended after sustaining knee injuries.
Now, living in Los Angeles, Manu has conquered desert, jungle, and urban environments, using her determination and willingness to improvise and survive. She created her own Adventure Company focusing more on the Wilderness and Wildlife conservation and protection and Environmental Education. She also instructs and teaches Wilderness Survival. Manu has become one of the most trusted and loved members of the Los Angles community. Her most recent accomplishment is the release of her first published book “Survive The Wild Unknown” and has been invited to speak at public events.
