Mona Tian is a member of Grammy nominated chamber ensemble Wild Up and has performed extensively for broadway musicals. She’s toured nationally as concertmaster with Tony Award winning best musical Dear Evan Hansen and A Christmas Carol. Mona is a member of Wadada Leo Smith’s Red Koral Quartet, with whom she recently recorded a 7-CD box set of Smith’s String Quartets 1-12, available on TUM Records. She regularly serves as concertmaster for Long Beach Opera and has performed with artists such as Sarah Chang, Hélène Grimaud, Martha Graham Dance Company, LA Opera, Lyris Quartet, Timothy Fain, International Contemporary Ensemble, Sigur Ros and can be heard on recordings with Kronos Quartet, New York Philharmonic, Wadada Leo Smith, The Industry Opera Company and various films and TV shows such as House of Cards, Dear White People, The Great, Avatar: The Way of Water & Transformers film series.
