Breana Gilcher (CalArts MFA '17) is an Oboe/English horn player and Certified Massage Therapist. Freelancing throughout California, she weaves between myriad musical environments such as classical orchestral playing, new music, film scores, historic performance, and improvisation. Drawing on her experience overcoming playing-related injuries, as a massage therapist Breana utilizes Myofascial Release techniques to aid other musicians in injury prevention and recovery. She was Lecturer in Oboe at UC Santa Barbara from 2020-2023.
