On Sunday, Oct. 1, The Herb Alpert School of Music at CalArts presents their New Faculty Concert, a diverse program including jazz, ambient, grindcore, and classical chamber music.
The event celebrates and presents work by four acclaimed artists who joined the School of Music faculty in 2022–2023: Laurel Halo, Jonathan Pinson, Emi Tamura, and Karen Tanaka. Additional performers for this event include Blake Andreas, Alejandro Sisro, Dani Martin, Gean Ponce, Andrew Renfroe, Jonathan Richards, Mona Tian, Jillian Risigari-Gai Lopez, Christine Tavolacci, Thea Mesirow, and Sarahjeen Francois.
