RE: Control input on DVD player?
Louis-
I've controlled 6 Pioneer DVDv7200 players simultaneously for an
"interactive" (for lack of a better word) installation. I used a G3 300 w/
a keyspan serial card and scripted the entire show in MAX getting audience
feedback via iCube and a series of photoelectric sensors and lasers. It
worked great. I got the list of machine controls from pioneer new media and
was off and running. I should add however that the DVDs were authored in
such a way that it made all of this very easy - ie where the chapter breaks
fell and so on. It was really expensive, but if you get into it farther and
this goes for anyone else here - I'd be happy to share the patch....or any
other materials and info i can give.
