The Sweat Shop Boys are a drone act formed in 2005 by Adam Somers and Sean Price. The project began when Adam and Sean were manufacturing interns (a.k.a. solder monkeys) for Plan B Synthesizers. They toiled long hours for no pay building the fledgling company's first run of modular synthesizer products. After some of these sessions Adam and Sean would experiment with sound for hours on end and they defined a vocabulary for improvised noise and ambient performance.

Though no longer in indentured servitude they are still recording and performing their music in earnest.
