Ustad Abdul Karim Khan (vocal) and Ustad Shamshuddin Khan (tabla)

Ustad Haji Shamshuddin Khan was a great tabaliya, an exponent of the Farukabad gharana and gurubai of Ustad Amhedjan Thirakwa. Shamshusaheb was the favored accompanist of Ustad Abdul Karim Khan as well as his disciple for vocal music. After Abdul Karim Khansaheb's demise, Shamshuddin regularly accompanied Smt. Hirabai Borodakar, and was the guru of Pt. Taranath Rao and Pt. Ravi Bellare.
